Question floor/rocker question

Now i know that a lot of people have done rocker panels and such on here, and i was just wondering, how big of gap if any is there supposed to be between the floor and the rocker panel lip, because we put my new floor pan in and there is almost an inch gap and we have the back piece clamped in and there is hardly any gap, pictures would be great, thanks. HELP appreciated.
thanks
kevin

you talkin' bout the gap on top, where the weatherstrip goes, or on the bottom lip of the rocker where it meets the inner rocker?

here's a pic looking straight down at the rocker lip where it meets the floor pan, it's about 1/2 inch gap...
