for where i live..... 2wd... live in the city, and it barley snows here... so 4wd is rarely needed..
that said... im taking all the 4wd crap out of my blazer and shoving it in my ranger... for a winter beater...

i say 4wd just because thats what we do around here lol, but i like my low trucks with big wheels just as much as the next guy. just doesnt serve the purpose i need.

I vote 4x4. A 4x4 can go everywhere a 2x4 can go, but a 2x4 can't go everywhere a 4x4 can.

I am a practical man. I always bring a tougher or stronger or bigger tool to a given job than I need. I don't want to be in a situation where I need more than I have on hand. Mabey it's overkill mabey not, but it works for me.

1984 K20 350M engine with 465,000 miles. Well, it's finally done!! Almost 2 years of work, but it was really worth the effort. Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shot  Jim or Paladin whichever you choose.

Im a lifted 4x4 type of guy. But being on here has opened up my like for mildly low 2wd's. My perfect garage would be full of 4 4x4's and 1 2x4....

Personally I dont really care. But I love 4x4's. Mud, rocks, whatever. Either way I can go anywhere. I would never own a IFS 4x4 though. They are utterly retarded.

Where I am 2wd sucks. The roads are so cracked and potholed a 2wd will bottom out and get trashed. Not saying a 4wd is better, but with bigger tires it goes over stuff much easier. Plus where I live and mom's house is on a hill, I tried a 2wd, works but not all the time.
I did the lowered 2wd thing, I do like them, but not a fan of the slammed to the ground with the biggest wheels known to man under it. IMO it looks retarded, but to each his own. I prefer a lifted 4wd. Then when your 2wd get stuck on that speed bump, I can pull you over it.....lol

I like trucks. Mostly GM trucks. I "prefer" 2wd, but love to see a sweet lifted 4wd as well.

Considered converting to 2WD My LS swap would be considerably easier/less expensive if it was 2WD If I could one of each would be ideal!

I like 4 wheel drives. I don't think I'd get much farmin' done if I had a 2 wheeler.
I like mildly lowered that will scoot, I don't like big rims at all. I just don't see the function. And I don't see the function in slapping a 8" lift on something that never leaves the suburbs either.
