Question Dash insert/Gauge cluster

i'm working on 66 gmc. i'm trying to locate places to buy a couple original style parts and hoping someone can point me in the right direction. i'm looking for a place that sells refurbished/rebuilt dashes and/or dash inserts that aren't billet. also i'm trying to find some motor stands/perches, or at least thats what people tell me they're called when i ask for 'lower motor mounts'.

thx
James

Re: Dash insert/Gauge cluster

I’m not aware of anyone selling refurbished stock instruments, although you might get lucky on eBay or Craigslist. You can buy new decals to rebuild them yourself:

Or there are several professional restoration specialists, but they are probably very spendy:

Here’s a link showing the different styles of motor mount towers/perches:

chemlab:

Welcome to the forums from Kansas City, KS. Try these sites for refurbished GMC dash clusters:

www.bowtiebits.com
www.oldchevytrucks.com

I can help you with factory V8 and straight six motor mounts, so let me know if you are still looking for a pair.
