spindle question??

do any of you guys know if the '84 3/4 ton chevy front spindles are the same as the 1/2 ton spindles? i have 3/4 ton spindles and want run 1/2 tonrotors to get a 5 lug instead of the 8 lug i have. thanks guys.

Im not 100% sure of this but i think the 3/4 ton spindle has a larger axel shaft than a 1/2 ton this is why it will handle heavier loads.

ball joints are different....find a donor truck, change the spindles and lower control arms

Buy a set of 3/4 ton drop spindles from early classic they are made to take the 5 lug rotors and use your existing a arms,ball joints and steering links...plus you get a 2 1/2" drop.
