Upper rad hose on 72 Blazer

Was the factory upper rad hose for a 350sb on a 72 Blazer, metal with the rubber connections at each end or all rubber? What about the lower hose? If metal, anyone have a pic.

Re: Upper rad hose on 72 Blazer

Your question has already been answered, but to go a little further with it, all 4x4's of our vintage got metal radiator hoses up top. I6's take a different one from v8's. Trevor

What was the purpose of the metal versus all rubber hose up top? And yes, I'll confirm metal top and rubber bottom.

Re: Upper rad hose on 72 Blazer

not sure of the reason for the metal. Except it's a pretty long reach. But always thought it was a great idea. Replaced the rubber ends on mine with filler hose about 30 yrs. ago. Longest lasting hose I've ever owned.
