disc brake conversion question

i just recently bought a 65 chevy shortbox.(pics coming soon) i plan to swap in disc brakes. i did a conversion to my 69 ( got the parts off of a 71 suburban) and i cant decide wether or not to buy new stuff from either cpp or ece or get a front end off of a truck with discs.
can some one who has done this to a 60-66 conversion give me some advice?

well the way i see it, i would go the gm route. Find a 73-87 with discs and swap out the hardware. In the long run you will always have access to these parts anywhere in the country. What if these companies fold in a year or two and you are stuck with specific parts that are no longer available? Just my 2 cents.

I would get a complete front suspension from a '71-'87 C10, or a complete donor truck,Suburban if you can find one. Then you can replace only what is necessary if you're on a budget. If you have a bigger budget, then you can get replacement parts (ball joints, tierods, calipers, etc) at your local auto parts supply. IMO you can have a completely rebuilt front suspension and disc brakes, for less $$ this way.
