good price on this?
im looking at a 1967 Chevy small window, stepside with wood floor. it is all original. it has a good amount of surface rust on the hood, fenders, and roof, but the cab corners, cowl area, battery area, are all solid, the rockers have some pretty good pitting, but i didnt see any rust thru. it has an inline 6 with 3 speed column shift. the guy is wanting $2000.00 for it. is that a descent price? is there anything im overlooking? no pics, sorry.

Hey halffast blazer... I can hear that truck calling to you and saying: "Baby we know that we belong..." Pics would help. If it has only surface rust then it sounds like a solid body. Some might say it's a little high while other will say its a good price. In the Mid West that wouwld be a fair price. I think.

Re: good price on this?
Pictures will help a lot. If it's a running and driving truck that sounds OK. If he is asking $2,000, 15 hundred dollar bills might get the truck. Cash is king.

Re: good price on this?
Yeah always try to talk them down, I own a diesel truck dealership and I tell you, when people need money they will come down a LOT. And you are not burning them, they decide what they want/will take.
My favorite was a guy with a brand new 08 F550 diesel hauler, he was originally asking $33k it books for $44k, I got it for $22k. Poor guy owed $35,000 on it and payed up the difference to get out of it. Show up with $1500 cash, don't act exited about it lol, offer him $1000 and work up from there. Especially since it needs resto, they are usually motivated. Be straight with the guy and I am sure you can work out a good price. Good luck, post some pics if you get it.

Re: good price on this?
That sounds like the truck I WANT!!!! I have a STROKER BIG BLOCK just waiting to drop in! How is the drip rail area and the area above the windshield? If it is solid I think you have a good deal.

Re: good price on this?
Not a good picture, but from what I am seeing all that truck needs is a dog dish or two, some drop spindles, drop springs for the rear, and someone willing to drive the snot out of it.
