What did you get done 2/21/2010 pitchers and catchers report spring training edition

I didnt get anything done with the C10 but i did more on the S10.
I sat outside on like wednesday and cut the old seats out. Three of the four bolts were actually nuts sticking through the floor and the fourth inner rear bolt was the torx head jobs that promptly strip so we had to put a bolt over top and then grind em down to get a socket over the top and un bolt em that way.

Yesterday i got the radio kit for my S10 so today i wired up the thing and installed the radio in the truck.
In trying to take the lousy one piece bezel off tho the airbag switch came apart so now to try and find another Thank you Jared's 87 for all the help in the other thread!

I finally also took pics of my camry lol

Hopefully this week i can get some front tires and then an allignment.

You all?

I think that I got a lot done. I put on a new power steering pump. Thank god for impact gun. I would've never gotten the pulley off with the wrenches for the pulley puller. I put on new wiper motor and washer fluid pump. Wiper blades, spark plugs, wires and tried out a set of my buddies 38's but that didn't fit to well. Also a K&N Air filter.

Took the family to a hockey game Friday night, otherwise I sat in my recliner watching the Olympics and watched all the new snow fall all weekend.

Put a radio antenna on my truck and I now can pick up AM/FM. No more listening to the same CD for a month straight!

Nothing truck related. My brother came to town. Have not seen him in a couple of years.
He was in s. ga looking at a truck to put his ls2 into, truck turned out to be a dud.
We hung out and talked car/truck stuff, was good to see him.
Got my new subwoofer...that counts as truck stuff, now I need to find someone to build me a sweet box for it.

I put the interior back in my truck with a new tach and when I get my new gauge bezel I will put that in and will be almost done. I also found out that interior is not my strong point, I tried to put unmolded carpet in the truck and it didn't go to well. Oh well it will work for now until I get my interior parts. Inside is all flat black and I will start working on getting the outside done. Also found out that I need a new transmission.

Washed my daily drivers and took it easy on Saturday. Sunday took the 77 out for a short drive. My tranny is acting funny so I brought it home.

Went to Home Depot and spent a small fortune on weed & feed. Got the fertilizer spread as the sun went down.

Re: What did you get done 2/21/2010 pitchers and catchers report spring training edi

I noticed the back tire was getting a tad low so I moved the truck in the garage. Pop'd the hood open just to glance at things since the engines last wash. Found whats been dripping coolant. I was thinking it might have been seeping up from a bolt but its the cheezy chrome water neck. That ends my thought that if you install a new one on a new intake and dont touch it it wont warp. Not the first time Ive been wrong.

I am sad you guys are working on your lawn I just put down salt on my driveway since it started snowing about 20 min ago.

Re: What did you get done 2/21/2010 pitchers and catchers report spring training edi

My wife, daughter, and I went to the Autorama here today with some friends we hadn't seen in a while. met up with a fellow board member to deliver a bumper and fender for his truck. I did get my bumpers sent to the chromers this week, so hopefully they will be back soon. I am still mulling over the drop I want, and which wheels I will want to run. The nice thing about taking my wife to the car show is that I get her input, which seems to count as her blessing as well.

Well, on Thursday I was told to get my butt to DC for a briefing at the five-sided building. Caught a flight Friday morning, prepped for the brief, went to the briefing on Saturday, now I'm still here because I had to be here anyway next week. So, I spent the day walking around DC killing time. Anyway, nothing got done this weekend truck related. However, I did sneak my buckets off to get reupholtered on Wed.

I mounted my tailgate band and put on my new fender well moldings on. Added a new dash trim piece 4 ac vents but it broke off the studs for the passenger ac vent so now i have to hunt down anther trim at pick and pull. Also put a new fuseable link in the truck, since old one went out.

Continued work on my garage, going through, throwing out, cleaning up. Removed the old rotten wood side windows on the garage, added new studs and coved the openings with sheathing. I'm almost ready to wrap it all up with vinyl siding.

did a tune up on the new 72 2wd Blazer. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change, header gaskets, new vac line to the modulator valve. I still have the brake pads and temp sender to put on, hopefully i can get that done this week. I also put some wheels on it, then took it out for a spin. got mud on the wheels and tires because of the stupid rain, so then i had to pull it in the shop and wash it.

I tore apart a old parts truck so I could salvage some parts from it for a couple projects... Had some friends drive up from Houston and help out, Spending the whole weekend in the shop with friends... Priceless

The truck was my nephews, it has sat out behind the shop for about the last 8 years. So the cab, doors, and bed is pretty much completely shot. My friend from houston is taking the front end, and i'm going to rebuild the 454 for my pickup which will hopefully be going in sometime this summer... so plenty more pics to come.

Refurbished the ignition system for my tractor project. Starting to line up the pole barn so I can get all the stuff out of the garage. Dug out the diesel, drove it to town. Watched my oldest cheerlead for the last time this year.
