Any good used chevy parts stores?
I've been trying to find a dash bezel for my 83 chevy c10. All the catalougs that sell new parts are very expensive - running around $300 for a new plastic bezel. The one i have in my truck now was hacked up to fit an aftermarket radio, and i bought the original radio for it. My truck has no AC and the wiper control on the dash and is hard to find. I've checked the junkyards where i live, but up north, it is hard to find old chevy parts. Someone suggested checking online to find stores down south that may have it, as those trucks are more popular down there. Anyone know of any places that may stock older, used parts like that?

I see stuff like that here pretty regularly. Ebay is probably your best bet.

Most junkyards around here crush anyting over 10 yeears old. Your best bet is a Pull a part. Google them for the nearest location.

Re: Any good used chevy parts stores?
My local yard says they will ship anywhere. I was there for the first time last week and they told me they have maybe half a dozen C10s of the mid-80s vintage. I'm just waiting for some of the snow to melt so I can go back and climb around the cars looking for a few parts I need. Anyhow, check them out:
http://www.arichnersautoparts.com/index.htm They have a searchable parts index here: http://www.arichnersautoparts.com/inventory/retailB.htm |

In the same boat here. Local wrecking/used parts yard does the crush 'em thing. They even tried locating one on their data base and nothing came up clear to the east coast.
We have one pull-a-part yard about 30 miles near. Unfortunately it is not that old. Weather changes, I'll be out there looking too.

Take a gander around here;
http://www.partshotlines.com/ I've used sites like this a couple times for parts I couldn't find local.

Re: Any good used chevy parts stores?
There are people on this board that probably have what you need . I have a few NOS GM pieces that I will offer up sometimes when someone is looking . If you are a mamber you can post specific want to buy ads or for sale ads . I think it is worth the subscription fee to be able to buy and sell here but I have been a subscribing member since not long after I became a member of this fine board . I think the fee is small for the amount of info one can find here even if you never sell or buy a single item .
As to the specific question , I thisk searching the parts board here , craigslist , and ebay are the best ways to find parts . I have bought many NOS parts off ebay . I searched the garage and have a NOS bezel but it is not for the year you listed . I probably bought it off the internet somewhere so keep looking and one will turn up . Frank

Re: Any good used chevy parts stores?
Definately hit up Ebay regularly, I spend alot of time on there searching, not just for things I need, just looking for good resale items in general.
I picked this up a few days ago for my truck because it's a factory non-AC truck, and I like the little storage bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I usually go here - www.car-part.com
It allows you to look by state and all that. Searches multiple online yards at once.

Re: Any good used chevy parts stores?
Thank you all for your references. I do check craigs list frequently, but I will start looking on e-bay also. And I will check out the other places mentioned too. Thanks again!
