meguires plastx
sorry didnt know where to post this
i was recently detailing my old shovelhead. had an old sort of yellowed and hazy plplexi windshield used MAGUIRES PLASTX to clean and polish it up. i appl;ied and worked it by hand with old tshirt rags took me awhile with three applications . but the end result was well worth the effortthe windshield came out pretty darn clear and looks great for a 20+ year old piece i'd think that using it with a power buffer on a very low speed would make it a very easy product and increase the efficency of the process. inm my case it wasn't an option due to nooks and crannies it also did an excellent job cleaning up the chrome trim and mounts of the piece i was ready to throw this piece out and buy a replacement, glad i used PLASTX

Re: meguires plastx
It can do some plastic good. I have seen some that it doesn't help much but it is pretty much wasted. I think if you use it regularly from the begining your plastic will stay nice for a long time.

Re: meguires plastx
cdowns... how do you think it would do on a lense panel for a gauge cluster?

Re: meguires plastx
Man I just did this over the weekend. My trucks intrument panel lense was so cloudy and yellow you couldn't even see the gauges. I bought from habor freight the headlight restorer kit for 9.99, I used the sanding disc it came with probably 1500 grit on a sponge sticky pad for the drill. then used the polishing sponge it came with that attached to the drill with plastX. coulpe of passes and it looked brand new!
