interior light door switches on 1970

I have a 1970 chev that I want to put door switches for the interior light. I don't think the General installed these until 72. I know on the 72 there is a bulge on the door post where they are installed. I am lokking for ideas of where anyone else has installed them. I don't think they will look very goood if I put them where the 72's were because the 70 does not have the same bulge. Thanks

on my cab that came form a 69 pickup when i had to do a replacement b/c of a bad wreck. i used my harness from the 72. i put the little light switch on the hinge side of the door and there is a little bulge there on my 69 cab. it was directly paralell with the handle to open the little floor vent on the kick panel. i hope this helps

If it is a 70 cab, it should have the bulge. The switch was an option.
