Dash Question

hey guys i did a search but couldnt find the answer im looking for...
Can I use an 81-87 dash pad in my 73? I don't much care for the 73 dash, I like the 81-87 style better with the top being flat and all.... hope someone can clear this up for me, thanks!!

Re: Dash Question

It will fit but you may have to change out the dash bezel as well. The one's for the pre 80' rigs are slightly different than the later models. I am going to do the opposite swap on my 82'. I liked the rounded look better.

Re: Dash Question

yea. to make it fit up better you will have to probably change out the gauge bezel too. I did that swap with my 82, but did not change the bezel and it worked but has a little gaping at the top. I just filled that in with some rubber weather stripping I had laying around. It doesn't look to bad at all, but I am thinking of taking my old dash and trying to do something custom with it.
