Re: ok i found another one is this a good price it seems kind of sketchy

Looks like you found another gem. I am sure for that price he won't sign anything. From what i can see, i would be leary. Not sure about one door being rusty and nothing else. Also looks like it has been lowered? Check to see if the springs were heated up. If you can't hear the engine run, consider it a builder i am sorry to say. Price seems a little high to me. Interior any good?

I would see if I could get it to start. If not, the price goes down drastically as Too Much Stuff states. It don't run, it is a boat anchor.

Re: ok i found another one is this a good price it seems kind of sketchy

Price seems WAY too high for not hearing it run. And all the stuff not hooked up?

Save your money. Look on the Trucks for Sale section of this board. Plenty of decent trucks there.

Price is high for not running. Im in the area and will go check it out with you if you wish. I would check the surrounding area craigslist also. I look at them regularly and find some decent deals on running trucks. I have a trailer and am always up for a road trip.

That truck is worth about 800 bucks... running or not.

But I would pass, if it's all boogered up from someone else.

Short Bed... Long Bed... I know everybody wants the Shorty's...

But I'm a long bed guy. So I would tell ya not to get hung up on the "Short" part of it, and just look for a truck in nice shape... be it short or long bed.

Re: ok i found another one is this a good price it seems kind of sketchy

I may be wrong here, but get the best truck you can afford. I got cheap and picked up one for $950. I have put at least that into it and still have to get a new tranny, wiring, engine stuff, etc, etc. If I would have found one for $2000, it would have been running and I would have been able to drive it. With a truck that isn't running, you have to assume that you are going to need to replace everything. My wife said I got ripped off, but I told her it is cheaper than going to mechanic school. I'm going to be one heck of a classic chevy expert when I'm done.

even if there is a "wiring issue" you should be able to "hot wire" it to check out whether or not it will run or if he's pulling your leg. just make sure it's in park or neutral and the e-brake set first

shoot sounds like more than a "short" you can jump the posts on the starter to at least see if it will turn over.
