i just bought a 78 2wd blazer for $450

thats what i thought when i found it.i will try to post pics asap.this thing looks fairly straight and has a small block 400.i do no that a PO heated the front springs so its dropped in the front.will more than likely find some stock springs to put in it.the interior is trashed but it is supposed to run and drive.but it still only costs $450.im pretty excited to get her home and see what hand i have been dealt

Welcome to the board! You can't be wrong with a $450 Blazer as long as it is fairly solid. Be sure to post pics. We love our pictures!!!!

I am pretty sure the 400 was an option that started in '75. Post pics when you get a chance!

Re: i just bought a 78 2wd blazer for $450

i really just hope that this turns out better than my last "project." the 69 burb that had more rust than metal ended up being parted out.the body on the blazer isnt near as rough as the burban.should i get it lower it the right way when i have the money(PO torched the front springs to drop it) or try to find salvage yard springs to get her to original ride height?
