Worked on the Parts Burb Today.

Took off work early and took advantage of the dry day. However the ground is pretty saturated so it was a game of inches to get it up.

The rear end is a roller it looks to have either been replaced at one time or at least had the drums broken free and all parts removed at some other time.

The fronts are non rollers, those are for another day.

Re: Worked on the Parts Burb Today.

She will live again as a parts truck for this suburban. Glass, tail gate lift gate... anything else I can use. The Ocher one is pretty solid.

Re: Worked on the Parts Burb Today.

if you are parting it up, would you sell me a patch. I'm filling in the dimple for the spare tire under the rear quarter window. I don't think the doors are the same so I'm looking for a piece of the same inside quarter.

thx,
Al.

Re: Worked on the Parts Burb Today.

Sorry, but I dont know what I am going to do with the rest at this point. If I decide to sell anything , I'll have to post an add in the correct section. thanks for asking but I just want there to be no confusion(as there has been before).

There are alot of good parts left on that Ochre suburban for sure! I have a parts suburban for my 72 burb. It is amazing how much you will use off of a parts vehicle if you have one.

True, I am more impressed with this truck now that I was able to see all the way around it and somewhat under it.

Very solid. At some point in its former life someone put a torch to the front passengers floor board just inside the rocker, they cut from toe board all the way to and thru the second door pillar. You can see the rust in the photo from the torch burning the paint off. So the pillar is just flopping around. It could be fixed and this body can be saved. I'm taking it to our farm and parking it until I can get to the Gold sub. Using it for storage illl then.
