Corvette Option

Not really, but I am wondering if anyone has ever used the gauges from a 65-67 Corvette in one of these trucks? How much bigger in diameter are they than the truck bezel holes? I am primarily interested in the tach and speedo sizes. Sorry, I don't have a Vette laying around to take measurements off of...

Re: Corvette Option

I think it might look cool and different. Also, I don't think it would be much more expensive than Auto Meters. Maybe I sniffed too much glue as a child...

Re: Corvette Option

They are the same from 63-67... and very expensive. The last frame off we did at work we spent about $1,000 just redoing the cluster ($75,000 resto) You can't touch a used cluster for less than $500 most of the time. Corvette stuff is retarded expensive, especially for the mid-years. Not to mention the tach is mechanical, so you would need a tach-drive distributer. Might be cost prohibitive to try it.

Re: Corvette Option

BurnoutNova has it right. Also, the Vette gauges are not stand alone as they are mounted in the frame of the outer housing. They would be a PIA to adapt to say the least. Al W.
