What The......

Ok, so I mustered up the courage to hack up my door. Did alot of searching and reading of different threads. Bought the panels from Classic Parts, but the actual panel had a Counterparts sticker and Made in the USA!

So I go to line up the panel, and I see this:

The panel doesn't even line up, NOT EVEN CLOSE! So I've decided to put back the panel that I removed and just cut out the bad parts and replace them with parts that I will cut out from the new panel.

Re: What The......

Well, a couple reasons. I've actually had these panels for over 6 months. Gift from my wife. I know that I could still probably send it back if I yelled enough, but the second reason is that I POR 15'ed the panel like a DUMB A*# before I test fitted it!

On the bright side, I haven't touched the other door, so obviously I wont make the same mistake!!!

Re: What The......

If they placed a made in the USA sticker on that part, that would be false. Counterparts imports their metal mostly from Taiwan, and not always the best quality. However none of the door inner tubs fit that well. WES

Re: What The......

doin stuff on old vehicles requires fabrication skills// if you're expecting things off the rack outa the box to fit purrfect it aint// look at iit and try to outthink the metal and get it to do what you want it to do

Re: What The......

I also have to do the outer door skins. Those look like they'll work. I guess it would be pretty hard for them to mess that up, but anything is possible.

Re: What The......

My inner door skins fit just as good as yours. I check a couple places and all the inner door skins looked the same.

Re: What The......

You would figure that by now the manufacturers would get there act together. But what can you expect from overseas manufacturers quality control or lack of it.
