Smile I finally bought a truck with a good body...

... finally! a solid 73-87, something I've been wanting for a long time. Exactly the truck I want, 6.2 4 speed 4x4 with 4.10s and factory G80. 106K, truck is all original

It's an '87. It has a sticky lifter (knocking) but it doesn't sound as bad as my '82, this one might free up.
I paid $1000, it should have glow plugs and injectors within a year, but it runs and drives fine. Oh, it also needs bigger tires.

Looks great, and the price just makes it even better.

To be fair, the AC compressor has been removed
I can't believe how well the heater controls work, the dash vents actually blow hard, and it switches to floor / defrost quickly. The recirculate on MAX AC doesn't work, I might get a compressor and look into fixing the air this summer though.
