Looks like may be a Pontiac but then again maybe a Buick with the red paint job. By the placement of the altenator I'd say pontiac 389?? A buddy of mine used to have a 66 Buick Riviera with 2 4 barrels. Now that would make a square body move.

as far as fuel injection swapping, it's whatever you are comfortable with swapping. My truck has an LT1 in it.

That is a Pontiac engine. As for the fuel injection I would say TBI would be the easiest. I have used everything from a 87-92 GM truck of course 87 would be the simplest as would a 87-91 Blazer/Suburban.
