Brake pad/shoes & fluid sugg's

Anyone have preferences on the type of pads/shoes to use on our trucks? For a stock brake setup. Raplacing lines also and was wondering about fluid to use also. How about preferences for brake fluid. My understanding is not to use anything other than dot 3 or 4 fluid. I've got discs front, drums rear on my 72 4X4. Opinions.................?

Thanks!

I would just go with NAPA parts, not a cheap chain parts store. Semi-metallic or regular. DOT 3 for stock. I believe that any DOT after 3 will work, as well, but I'm not for sure.
