I googled it and read some of the posts from some site back in '07. Whoever the crooked guy is, he's been at this mischief stuff for a while.

I once saw my own car for sale (the red on one http://www.1969pontiac.com/ ) on eBay! Guy claimed he had it in London, and would pay shipping to the US. I reported it to eBay before I found out all the details of how the scam was supposed to work...

Re: Craigslist find

Why is this a scam? I've seen this truck in person a few years ago and have pics of it myself...

Truck may exist - but the seller might not be the one selling it.

Re: Craigslist find

Has anyone tried to call the number to set up a time to go see it? If you could go look at it (and not have to put any money down on it to hold it while you make time to see it) I might tend to think that it wasn't a scam. Anyway I would not ever buy anything or put money down on anything without seeing it for myself first. At the very least having someone look at it for me. WES

These are all over on CL, they say send money and they'll sent the truck. I dealt with many of these a few weeks ago while looking for a used Tahoe, I placed a wanted to buy ad and was hit with 100+ emails wanting to buy my car for sale....there was no car for sale i wanted to buy! There was one scammer that was a little better "she" said that she had a car that fit my description and that she was willing to give it to me because she bought a new one, all I had to do was send her money for shipping. I'd be more inclined to beleive that it was real if the phone # wasn't linked to scams already.

PS 68jewel: That is a good tool though, i got a call from a weird # a few weeks ago so I checked it out now, it was a credit card scam too.

Re: Craigslist find

I just called the number. A lady answered and and her husband (owner supposedly) is supposed to call me once he gets home from work. WES
