Re: candy brandy wine?
It does look good over a silver or pearl white base. It's too dark over a gold base. Personally I would not go with a camdy color unless you do no plan to drive it. It takes a VERY good painter to lay candy done properly. It takes a freakin miracle painter to match it if you need repairs.

Re: candy brandy wine?
i am a bodyman, and the main thing that they wont tell you at the shop is that they cannot put alot of the candy color on your ride or it will totally cover up the candy effect. in return, alot of sun will fade it horribly over time, no matter how much clear and how good it is. the candy color itself does fade in the sun, so if you plan the truck as a dialy, might want to think about a factory color thats really close, and putting like a red pearl over the top, but heavy, so it flips like candy.
also when they are shooting the truck, you mght want to be around, the more candy coats, the darker the color will get, so if you want something not too dark, you might wanna tell them when they get to theshade you like, tell them so it doesnt become too dark. |

Re: candy brandy wine?
HOK has a kandycoat system, that is a solid basecoat that doesnt need a undercoat, and "mimics" a candy finish, might look into that.
