well here we go...

A little late on starting this build thread but I jumped in face first and I got to finish it... Heres what I got so far, I started the tear down in december. I stocked up a ton of parts while I was in Afghanistan and started shortly after I got home. The motors done and in the frame, It's a 350 with a set of forged pistons and some AFR's 210cc race ready heads, the cam has 0.525 exh. lift
0.507 in intake lift and a magnuson mp122 blower from trick flow and a 850cfm E85 carb from quick fuel, the trans is a TCI super streetfigher and the rearend has a set of 3.73 gears and a detroit locker, the cab is the only place where I'm in over my head the rockers and cab corners were completely done wrong and removing all the old work was more than a pain in the a@# but enough talkin here are some pics

start of the resto

Re: well here we go...

sorry about the middle finger pic, I thought it was to funny to not post, I took it for a friend who was bragging that his truck was closer to done than mine until I showed him the pic, Oh also the frame has 12 inches cut in front of the axle and 8 off the back and I have a new bed and front clip to put on as soon as I get the cab on the frame

Re: well here we go...

well it's been awhile but I got a lot of work done. So far I'm waiting for the front fenders to come in since I got ones for a 69-72 somehow, no big deal mbgmike from bump and grind garage is making it right . I still need to figure out what I'm going to do for a filler for the rear mounted tank. This is what I got so far

Re: well here we go...

My plan for paint is the stuff they sell at napa, The ACME products. I am using ppg shopline now for the surfacer but I cant afford the paint I want in the shopline. I still need to get a drive shaft made before I moves under it's own power but that's a long ways down the road.

Re: well here we go...

mbgmike IS helping me out more than he should... Way back in January I ordered a set of front fenders and a swb bed for it, Well he sent me a bunch of wrong parts. I didn't look at the parts until a couple weeks ago and he sent me new stuff without even thinking about it. There's no better customer service than that. Once again mike thanks alot I look forward to getting back at the body work on monday with the new fenders come in. If anyone needs fenders for a 69-72 I'm selling the old ones for mike for 100 each no shipping.
If you haven't bought any parts from mike I recommend checking him out. He beats pretty much anyone out there as far a prices go and is great to deal with http://www.bumpandgrindgarage.com/

Re: well here we go...

Plugs are in and wires run... Once I figure out a return line for the fuel system and mount the regulator I guess I turn the key and see if she comes to life other than that it's ready to go.
