how can i convert a 72 to disc

im in the process of bagging my truck and i dont think it sits low enough in the front so i need spindles but my truck has drums
how can i convert my truck to disc w/o having to buy the $900 kit that doesnt even redo the rest of the suspension
i already could use new tie rods and ball joints, is there a way to use newer model stuff w/o costing so much, $900 would be fine if it replaces my whole suspension up front w/ new stuff
i read about the 66 conversion how much of this stuff applys to my truck

thanks

GM put discs on trucks as standard equipment starting in 71. If your truck is truely a 72, the front suspension was robbed to be put under an earlier truck & that suspension was swapped back under yours. The other possiblity is the truck frame/suspension is earlier w/a later body on it.

To get discs up front w/o spending for a kit, hit your local wrecking yard (or search Craigslist for your area) for a 71-80 GM truck getting parted out. The parts will easily swap over to your current frame.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
