pipes?
hs any body seen side pipes on our trucks? i was thinking of fabbing something like that up for the gmc. i think a set of chrome 3'' pipe with alittle turn out would really set the truck off,not to mention sound really sweet. any advice? or ideas?what do you think -kyle

I think it would be sweet. i was going to go that route with my GMC. The darker the color of paint, the better the chrome will look in my opinion. Jegs has them is long and longer.

Side Pipes?
Heck Yeah! I used to have a set of 72" lakers on the '68 LWB. It looks real good IMHO! Give the truck a slight rake , be careful not to drop it too much and warn your girlfriend if she's wearing shorts or a skirt. Don't want her to get a waffle-patterned burn scar on her nice pretty legs now, plus you would probably want to keep her around for a bit. I speak from experience. BTW, when I say "lakers", what I mean to say is that they look like the pipes already pictured above, but with a secondary pipe inside the larger one. Think of it as an exhaust system with a single pipe for every two exhaust ports and you have the right idea. One of the better looking exhaust setups on the right truck, I think. Put a soft vinyl tonneau cover on it, Baby Moon centercaps/ Chrome or body color steel wheels, and wide tires with raised white lettering, and and a solid color paintjob, preferably red ochre or yellow. But that's my opinion. |
