Anyone Got A 73-87 3/4 Ton Short Bed?
Does anyone have a 73-87 3/4 ton swb regular cab truck? if so could you post pics... Im just curious to see what they look like with the 3/4 ton wheels i know probably not any different than a 1/2 ton but i just would like to see some pics (thinking about making my 73 C20 a swb)

Re: Anyone Got A 73-87 3/4 Ton Short Bed?
The only concern I would have is the ride quality. 3/4 tons usually ride a little rougher than 1/2 tons, and then shorten the setup and I think that would make for a rough ride.
My .02 is to leave it a LWB and leave the orange and white two tone. You have a nice truck man rock it the way it is! Also still waiting on pics on here man! "hint hint" |

Re: Anyone Got A 73-87 3/4 Ton Short Bed?
The first two are what my 79 looked like when I got it. The others are of it with the new foglight bumper and proper 79 headlight trim. Also some 38's that were too big. I ended up taking them off and putting the wheels it came with back on it. You know they didn't make a factory shortbed, right? My title says it's a 20 and there's 3/4 running gear to boot, but we all know what happened here. Either I have a half ton frame, or my 3/4 frame has been shortened, although I have found no evidence of the latter.

Fogot to mention there is now a Dick Cepek light bar and four more KC daylighters up top.
Also forgot to show the improper headlight bezels.

Re: Anyone Got A 73-87 3/4 Ton Short Bed?
I know they didnt make factory... thats why i wanted it lol something different i just wanted to see what they looked like with 3/4 ton wheels (since in my opinion 3/4 ton wheels dont come in too many cool designs) i prefer the 1/2 ton wheels better selection but im just going to buy another pickup and give this one back, ill do a 1/2 ton though swb so i dont have to hack the frame... im not a fan at all of long beds and i love this truck which is why i considered it but now im on a hunt for a new toy! =) ... and im only looking to spend about $1,200 right now for a project i have spotted a few in the $800 range i may go look at im not sure..
