Bought a new truck (Let the Madness begin)

Hello all, its been a while since I owned one of these.
I got my first one ('72 GMC longbed) when I was only 15. I keep that old girl for nearly 16 years, but I sold her to finish a '56 bel-air I was building. Yes, I know...big mistake.

The car was nice, but after I sold it I sure missed those old pickups, so I started looking for truck to build as a DD and last weekend, I found it hiding in Kansas...and the sucker followed me home.lol

Gotta tell y'all, I am really excited about starting another build and I look forward to asking many questions and getting to know all of you better.

Here are some pics..

shes a little banged up...but the only rust so far is both rockers and part of one floorpan

still has the original 283 and 2 speed powerglide (so I was told)

By the way here is a shot of the '56...just in case you were curious

Damn, that's a beautiful '56!!

And a good, straight '67! What are your plans for it?

front disc brakes and a rear end swap to 5 lug. shorten the frame and bed, about 4/6 static drop and hopefully a vortec engine and OD transmission.

RocketKing ...That truck looks to have very solid bones. A PG with factory AC is a nice combo. Congrats!

Oh yes...that 56 rocks!!

Thanks for the compliments on the 56. There were times when I did not think it would get done

I am sure most on here could relate.

Suprise, most people would think bare bones truck after seeing the painted front end, however the accessory side step never was very popular and tended to be an eye sore.

Does your truck have the 283 or the 327 engine in it?

Nice truck. Like Big Mike said, not your run of the mill '67 with the panoramic back window and the factory air. That makes it kind of special in my book...

Very nice truck, I wish my big back window 67 had air, atleast I got the 327 and TH400. But I am drooling over yours! If it turns out as nice as that 56, it should really be a head turner!

Gonna have to agree to disagree on those steps, but I am back and forth on the white top. It would have that classic look, however c10addict makes a great argument for solid red...
