Tire size Question

Good day all, I have a 1971 C10 and I am putting on some 5 bolt 10" wide Rally rims with center caps and rings. I want to mount the classic BF Goodrich Radial TA''s with the nice white raised lettering and was wondering if anyone had any tire size recommendations. I would like the same size tire all the way around and currently it has P235 75R15's on the front and P215 75R15's on the back.

Thanks

P235 75R15's on the front and P215 75R15's on the back

Those tire sizes will not fit on a 15'x10" wheel, they are way too skinny.

Your gonna need at least a 275 width tire for a 10" wide wheel

Re: Tire size Question

My panel truck had 10 inch wide rims and I ran many a set of P235 tires on it and even smaller.

The trick is to find a old tire shop. They have a rubber ring that will go against the inside of the wheel which will allow them to put air in the tires to inflate them to get them to jump on the bead.

Or you could put a whole bunch of grease all over the wheel and the beads of the tire and spray some Starting Fluid inside of the tire and light with a match.

My truck handled better with a P 265 tire or you could go with a 31 x 10.50x15 tire..

My motto has always been, Dirt is for racing and pavement is for getting there.

You wouldn't catch me with summer tires on a pick up truck!

Re: Tire size Question

My preference would be to put on 275 60R15's on my 10' rims all they way around? Any foreseeable problems with this set up?

Re: Tire size Question

Here's what mine looked like with 15x10 with 275/60/15 at all four corners. Your good as long as the front isn't dropped too much.

Re: Tire size Question

Thanks! Great looking truck. My suspension is all stock, no plans to lower. It's got new HD coils on the back so she sits pretty level.
