73-80 3" drop spindles factory 15" rallies rub?

I just put factory rally wheels on my 79 swb and they rub really bad when i turn! Do i get out the grinder? help me with my fix. spacers on the front? HELP!

i had to use like 1/4'' spacers, but i did some grinding before.

Trim them with a grinder. No big deal.
Where exactly are the rubbing?
The lower ball joint area?

That truck just doesnt look the same with the Rallys. Search this board .There was at least one thread with pics of the area to grind on the LCA. I use Western Chassis 2.5 spindles just so I wont have to do any grinding to run Rallys .

I have 3" also and mine rubs at tight turns like a u turn and thats it. I thought about trimming them but I plan on getting bigger wheels and hopefully not have that any more.

Trimming them is alot better than letting them rub.

The a-arms in the picture below have already been trimmed in the area of the blue tape. Cut along the red line.
Notice the "bumpstop" mount has also been trimmed.
