Cool Newbie w/ 98 Yukon....Hi there!

Hi all,
I just picked up a 4dr. 98 Yukon 4x4 on Wednesday, and thought I'd introduce myself and hopefully find others with the same/similar vehicle who could get me started on throwing MORE money at her! :p

Name is Ed, and I hail from Huntsville Al! I spent the last 6 years in a Jeep Wrangler, so this Yukon had definitely taken a few days to get control of!

Anyway, if you have a Yukon and are up for some Q&A, I sure would appreciate it!
I'm going to start with some engine mods then on to body and interior, let me know if you're available for some questions!

I'd also love some info on any other forums that could be useful to me as this is the only one I have found so far.

Thanks and looking forward to getting to know some of you!

welcome to the board. My berb is basically bone stock with the exception of rims and a sound system, so I'm affraid I would be no help on mods.

Yukon

Hey i know how you feel about gettin outta the wrangler, i have been in one for 5 years and got a Yukon last summer. what do you want to know about doing things to your yukon? it probably runs pretty good, being a vortec, mine is a 92, but it looks like a 98, its got the newer grill, cowl hood, visor, 4 inch lift, flowmasters, 33's, clear lights, let me know what you want to do.

I tell ya, everyday in that Yukon makes me miss the Wrangler a little less...until Spring gets here! (but that's what the motorcycle is for!)

The first thing on my agenda is to get my headlight situation cleared up...going with the Painless wiring system. After that, I need to replace Stereo Speakers...they're way past gone!

After that, I guess I'll start some work under the hood...intake, exhaust, power chip...haven't researched any of this yet, but I'll have to get started soon.
