tailgate band blazer or truck w/ relocated handle
I was thinking this morning (while in the local coffee drive thru behind a nice k5) if anyone has ever relocated their tailgate handle and then used the blazer tailgate band to replace the original? Since the blazer didn't have the place in the band for the handle, I thought this would be a really clean look if the handle was relocated to the inside of the bed. Put some pics up if you have done this so we (or I) can see how it looks- or if it will even work. Thanks!

That is EXACTLY what I am taklking about! I didn't check for any earlier threads because I thought this was a new idea...lol guess not. I liked all of the trucks in the thread link too, now I just have to get around to doing it myself I guess.

While we are on the topic of Tailgates, and relocating the handle, does anyone have anymore details about relocating the handle. I was going for the same look on my 86 GMC, only I was going to put a smooth plate in the recess. Hope I didn't jack the thread. I was only trying to add information to it about the topic.
