why do the rear wheels look so far forward in the fender? looks like a great start for a project, but is this normal?

If you look between the cab and the bed you will see a bigger gap also.....bed just isnt bolted on.

I think it looks that way due to the fact that is was lowered in the front and rear. When the front was lowered (drop spindles) it pushed the fronts out and the rears stayed the same. The rear is probably a narrower 67-70 axle. Plus the wheels look pretty narrower. Just my two cents.

That is part of it, but any truck lowered 6" or lower in the rear has the wheels farther forward...just a result of the pendulum effect of the trailing arms. I ended up adding 1/2" spacers at the trailing arm mounts which moved the wheels back the 1" they moved forward when I bagged my truck.

I had a machine shop that was making some other items make them out of aluminum and gave them a file showing where the holes needed to be drilled and they put it into cad and made it.

Yes, Rene I'm thinking about putting bucket seats in it. I'm coming to A****er sat. to check out the parts that Kevin has, if your around I'll stop buy. Kev gave me his #
