Any 5.3 Conversions out there w/4x4...?

If so, I have a question regarding the usage of the original transmission support mount which also cradled the NP208 case.....? I am getting close to installation and was wondering if anyone has done this already and what you used to cradle both the new 4L60/65e and the t-case... If I can still use the original then great - no money wasted... If you found you could not use it, then please list what or how you resolved it.. Thanks in advance..

Re: Any 5.3 Conversions out there w/4x4...?

Nevermind I relooked at your build thread. NV4500 so no trans issues. Do you just have engine mounts and no crossmember?

72truckman, Can I see your engine mounting/crossmember? Are you running a lift? Any driveshaft/transmission pan interferance issues?

I am in the middle of an NP205/4L60 5.3 swap on a stock height Jimmy. I believe I have the differential/crossmember interferance taken care of. I need to test fit then powdercoat the crossmember and then tackle modifying the tranny pan. Interested in how you handled your installation.

From the factory, all of the new Gen. III and IV blocks ares structural and used as a crossmember. I just made simple frame mount perches with polyurethane insulators.

ON my 4l60e i used the original crossmember and built it up with some sq tubing and then used the factory 4l60e rubber mount.

HI Wheatly,

Did you happen by chance to take some pics of your design so I can look at it to see if that's what I need..? Thanks..
