how long are 2" front drop springs?

how long are 2" front drop springs? A co worker has a set of springs he says are 2" drop springs. Spring dimensions are 10 3/4 long x 5 1/4 wide x 3/4 diameter. Does this sound right?

Brand new out of the box....

If yours have been used any, they will have sagged a bit so you sound like they might be right.

Re: how long are 2" front drop springs?

That is a loaded question. There is a lot more to springs than just the uninstalled height. Even if your measurements are the same as the ones TX posted, if they are not from the same manufacturer the measurement may be different.

The springs I recently got from ECE to drop the front of my truck 2" were 11" tall and they dropped my truck all the way to the bump stops and beyond. That is closer to a 3" or 4" drop. It has not been resolved yet but it seems the wrong springs were shipped form the manufacturer. We'll know soon.

Keep in mind if you have the original springs on your truck they very well may have sagged 2". New 2" drop springs may not change your ride height at all. It will also matter if the springs are for a big block or small block truck.
