truck broke down!

So on the way to the orrbiden fantsy truck show 40miles from my house. My truck started running a bit rough, it finally shut off on me. My battery was drained, and fuel was leaking out the side of my carb, its a 600cfm. Since yhe battery was dead, my buddy gave me a jump,I got nothing, so.... my. BUddy is driving up to tow me, has this happened to anyone??

Re: truck broke down!

sounds like "..one of those days..." check if the carbs tight to the manifold... battery being dead...
bad alt, bad cable, bad battery... maybe a dry cell... or maybe a loose accessory belt.

Re: truck broke down!

carb gaskets and i agree on the accessory belt OR check the terminals for tightness
on the carb pull the lines and reset them (fuel lines) it's pretty common for them to be put on incorrectly
