pushrod BBC problem
So i went to put in my pushrod today to adjust my valves and i guess i ordered the wrong pushrods. The ones i ordered are 3/8 of a inch thick. They are to big for my guideplates. I can not seem to find any pushrods that are thinner. coul someone help me out here.

Re: pushrod BBC problem
If you've got stock guide plates, chances are they are 5/16". You'd be better off to replace your guide plates with 3/8"...Stick with the larger pushrods/guides if you can.
Here's some Comp brand. http://www.competitionproducts.com/C...ctinfo/4806-8/

Re: pushrod BBC problem
Ok and replacing the guideplates is that something i can do in the garage. Is it as simple as screwing out the studs and then sliding these new guideplates in and torque the studs?
I have just never pulled a rocker stud out before? |

Re: pushrod BBC problem
Yep, break all the studs loose, pull the guide plates out. Put a few drops of oil on the rocker stud threads, then install new guide plates and studs. Torque the studs to 50 ft. lbs.
