1970 rear bumper

O.K. I have old bumper on my truck that looks like it came off a WWII Tank. It's welded on. What do I have to purchase to go from that to the new rear bumpers?

I'm assuming I have to have it welded off, but what then. Where do I find the brackets?

Any help someone can give would be great. Thanks.

Re: 1970 rear bumper

cut the old one off and bolt on the bumper brackets for the regular chrome bumper then bolt on the new bumper

Yep! May find a used one wiht brackets on here or craigslist/etc

I found mine with brackets for 75$ (easier for me to drive the ol truck than find someone to order with plastic money)

Re: 1970 rear bumper

Yeah, I saw the holes there and figured it would be good to go that way. Thanks for the info. Like your trucks. I have a 70 with a 68 front clip. I'll post before and after pics here in the next month. Trying to prep for paint. Once again. Thanks.
