lowering question

I've done this on cars and a few trucks before but never been in my financial position where I couldnt do it all at once, like I am now....

What I am getting at is, is there a way for me to lower my truck in stages so to speak..... I was looking at picking up CPP's deluxe drop kit with 3" up front and 5" in back.

Are there any caveats with a 72 pickup that I would need to know?? IE- bumpsteer issues by leaving the stock spindles for now etc??

I intend on getting spindles but probably at a later date.....or would it be better to get spindles and maybe carefully cut a coil off the front springs??

If you are looking at saving some $$ you could put the jeep wrangler springs TJ (97 and up) in the rear witch should drop the back of you truck about 5'' that way and then spend that money on the front of the truck. Most jeep fokes take them out and pitch them when they do a lift so you can get them cheap I got my spring for like $20.00 on Craigs list. You can look up my name on the forum
