Well, new SWB owner, '71.
Hey there picked up this SWB '71 today. Guess I will be able to start contributing now that I actually have one of these and not lurking haha. Plans are to fix the sheetmetal, get it mechanically sound, and just have fun, make it rat style. May flat black it in the future just depends how the repairs turn out. It's a 350 with a 5 speed manual.

Cool truck, if you check out the link in clos69's post there's a pic of it on page 17, we were admiring it even before you got it!

Re: Well, new SWB owner, '71.
Glad to see someone picked that truck up. I have been eyeballing it for a couple of months now. However, I ask you to tell me that it wasn't as nice as it looked in the pics. That's what I had to keep telling myself so I wouldn't go look at it.
Welcome to the boards. It's nice to see more Oklahoma guys getting on here. If you get a chance check out the Oklahoma section. There is a link in my sig. We have been trying to get together pretty regularly, and would love to have you come out and show off your new toy. |

Re: Well, new SWB owner, '71.
Thanks for all the reply's! Im pretty stoked about it, my g/f wants me to paint it at least black lol, im going to hold out though!
BAH holy crap just called and it's $300 just to tag and title it! Wish people would tag them soon as they got them instead of just letting it sit for a year. Bummer. |

Re: Well, new SWB owner, '71.
Looks like a nice start, I'd love to have a 5spd manual in my truck!
Fitz...what does it say across the hood of that truck? Or was that a random pic you found?

Re: Well, new SWB owner, '71.
Any updated pics??? I thought long and hard about buying this truck before I got my 67...but the owner wasn't very cooperative about all the Q's I was asking him so I decided to go with the 67...
