Elusive Short - Isolated and Cured.

Finally, after fighting the weather, broken,hard brittle wiring................

At last relief in sight...........After tracing so many circuits, and replacing so much damaged wire..................

The cause.................Positive Battery Cable was shorting out behind the exhaust manifold against the block.

Only had four strands of the wire left.....could have been a total melt down.

What a relief, now time to take a break...

What that means is:
The next time someone starts a post on electrical problems.
You can tell them what to check first.

Nice work good thing you caught it in time.
That could have lead to some major problems out on the road.

thats the first place i check when i have something stange going on with wiring. i had a truck that wouldnt shut off when i took the key out. looked for the reason for hrs.. finaly noticed the pos cable, burned thru on the rams horn... strange but common.
