I don't know if it was a good move but I sold her.For some reason my heart wasn't in it anymore.I guess to console my self I just bought a Mustang GT convertible.(my first ford)It's nice to just drive it and not worry about anything.

Re: well she's gone

I have owned both these trucks and the Mustangs. They are both fun, but it's better when you own them both at the same time. Start saving those pennies again and buy another truck when you can.

What business are you in? Are you a handyman?

There is something to being able to just hop in your ride and go, and not have a little nagging thought in the back of your mind...Will I have any problems this time out?

True about that. I always had to keep my tools in the truck since I never knew when I would need them.

Have fun with the new ride

I love that Mustang ,nice truck too . Its hard to beat a convertible to releive stress . When I have a bad day I take the chevelle convertible out for a spin ,so it will work with that mustang just fine.

I'm glad it sold pretty quick for you though. Like Heath, your truck was the inspiration for my '69 K10 right down to lift height and even the color combo.

You wouldn't happen to have any other pictures of it do you? I have one picture from your for sale ad that I saved as my background pic on both my home and work computers. This truck addiction is some bad stuff.

Now go out and enjoy your new ride.

I flip houses-It wasn't so much a money thing as it was a space thing.when I get another truck it will be something I can drive and have fun and not worry about scratches, door dings, rain, snow, hot, cold,my daughter putting her feet on the glove box door, hair from the dogs and so on.

Re: well she's gone

Well I did something simeler, only I regretted doing it. I sold the "72" "Garden Truck" and traded the black crew cab "2002" GMC duramax for my "2008" Silverado crew cab duramax. Not that I don't like my new truck, but I just don't get the same feelings when I drive it, nor the thumbs up. My customers don't want to hear about my new truck either however they use to enjoy learning about the "Garden Truck". My only consolation is I am building a couple more... WES

Re: well she's gone

Hey NYC-10,

Nice truck, and nice Mustang! I have learned over the years and over all of the toys and projects I have owned that they come and go and there is always another toy. The only ones I see you should hold onto are the ones that were your dad's or gramps truck.

Funny part for me is by the time I am done with the project, I lose interest in it and wan to to start on something else

Have fun in that Stang!

Re: well she's gone

I have learned that no matter what one drives there is the possibilty of a break down. Nice tang but these old trucks just have something special about them. Maybe it was the fact that I grew up on the farm and trucks were part of the family. Good luck with you tang.

i was told for the longest to get a new truck and you won't have to worry about it WRONG! I didn't buy brand new but i bought a 97 1500 good clean truck several years ago, but the most i payed for a car, the most parts and money i have put into it to fix it was the "new" truck but i kept my old ones thank goodness and you can fix them on the side of the road alot of times
