70 3/4 ton front lowering
i've been looking into lowering my truck for a while now and in the rear have done a flip-kit(minus the kit) will be doing a c-notch while the front but i've had a hard time deciding how to do the front end one of the main things is that everything in the front is shot(bushings bearings balljoints tie-rods steering linkage etc) so i wanted to just swap everything from a newer truck into it along with disc brakes and airbags but i cant find anything on doing a swap with 8 lug only 5 and 6 lug so i was wondering if anyone has or knows someone who has done this or if there was something that doesn't workout with the 8 lug if anyone knows what years will work that would be great
thanks |

Re: 70 3/4 ton front lowering
Any of the 71-87 8-lug trucks have disc brakes from the factory.
Just like the 5-lug conversion for the 6-lug truck owners,... the parts will swap the same. Now is a good time to rebuild the front end.
