Re: Head Light knob

Put your hand up under the dash at the back of the switch feel around for a small sprung button on the side of the switch, push and hold that in and the knob plus shaft pulls right out.

Re: Head Light knob

If you reach up behind the dash, there's a little spring loaded button on the headlight switch that you push down. Pull the switch to the on position, push the little spring loaded button down on the switch, pull the knob and shaft out.

Re: Head Light knob

Disconnect the battery, pull out on the knob until it stops -- then reach in to the top of the headlight switch, push down on the little button, pull on the knob and the shaft will come out of the switch.

Here's a thread with a pic of what you're looking (feeling) for. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=374643

EDIT: Dang, I type slow....
