i was curious if any of you guys have put a 88-98 rear end in a 73-87 c10. or even used a 454ss 14bolt. I was wondering what the width differences were. thanks

Re: 14 bolt rear end

I will be putting a 6 lug 4x4 version in my '77 Blazer 4x4, IIRC it's 1.5 inches wider per side. I think the 2wd version is about the same width the stock 1/2 ton rear. The bump stop plates and spring perches get cut off, then new spring perches welded on. I am leaving the shock mounts in place because I think they are in the correct location to be used as offset mounts.
