triple air bags .....good for street trucks ???
HEllo together...
for my Chevy PU from 51 ...i want to install a triangulated 4link suspension i want to bag the truck as well ..... to get a huge travelling i bought a set of triple air bags ......on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-260...Q5fAccessories so far i am not sure if i will get a good ride quality with a triple bag... Hope you can help at this point !!!! Thx a lot Achim |

Dont know anything about them, but IMO if you are going for travel, you arent worried as much about ride quality

A triple convoluted bag should perform the same as a double convoluted bag of the same diameter with equal air pressure because force= psi x area. But you don't want to run the air bag too close to it's colapsed or extended dimensions (triple convoluted will have a taller collapsed dimension). It needs room for jounce and reboud travel otherwise the bag will bottom out. I've repaired several pusher axles in heavy truck applications because the ride height of the bag was too low.
