TX WTB np205 shifter

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a driver quality np205 shifter for a 70 blazer. I would prefer chrome but painted will work as well. Also, I need the knob and adapter bolt and would like to find a nice used boot and retaining ring. Thanks.

what style shifter? Do you need the 70' styles of one or the 71-72' style? Trevor

You know, now that you mention it, I'm not sure that I knew of 2 different 205 shifter styles within the 69-72 range.... Would you happen to have any pictures? I know that I had a dana 20 before and it had a shifter that came out almost directly behind my 4 speed shifter and pointed left toward the driver's side. I bought a new high hump with the appropriate hole for a 205 shifter, so whichever one will fit is fine with me.

Well, there are different humps too as well as there is 3 different styles of np205 shifters. I'll get you some pics to help ya find the one you need. The humps differences are that the 70' hump has the np205 hole lined up with the tranny hole, while 71-72' humps have the np205 off centered to the passenger side. Trevor

Here is a comparison of the two different "1970" correct shifters for the np205. The one in the back with the tape is a 1970 np205 with automatic or 3 on the tree. The one closest with the extreme bend is a 1970 4 spd np205 shifter. As Dennis (Sharpie) has stated, the 70's use a different knob without the shift pattern with a different thread, while the 71-72 np205's got the knob with pattern on it and different thread and they don't bend up in the middle like the 70 style. 1970 will have a sticker on the glovebox door, ceiling, or heater box underdash for the shift pattern.

It's gotten more full since that pic was taken. It was the only pic I had of the 71-72 shifter without going back outside and I have a mean cold right now. No problem, learned all the differences over the years on here. Trevor
