Putting in a Front Gate on a Steel Bottom Short Wide Bed

Any words of advise on how to put one of these in short of taking the whole bed apart? Never done one of these and it dont look like there is an easy solution. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Re: Putting in a Front Gate on a Steel Bottom Short Wide Bed

i take the bedside bolts out of the floor back to the middle of the wheel tubs then carefully wedge the sides apart with a 2X4 so i can get the front in where it's supposed to set

Thanks for the info. I Kind of thought that was what I was going to have to do but I get nitemares when I think about wedgeing the bedsides out. I guess they should have enough flex in them to make the room I need to put it in.

Thanks Again.
