suspension adjustments
So I have a couple of 97's and a 2000 GMC. The front tires of the 97 & 2000 4wd seem to be cupped in at the bottom and are wearing more on the outside edges. Toe in is fine. It's the camber that seems to be off a bit. They drive great. It's just the tire wear. Yes they are inflated properly and no loose components in the suspension. Can a guy buy just the adjustment eccentrics at a parts store and get er close himself? How are they sold, in specific degrees? The 4wd have the same knockout setup as the 2wd?
The alignment shops charge a good penny for knockouts and bolt kits. I'd like to do this myself. Once the knockouts are out it's just a matter of changing the eccentric to get the right setting? Same deal on the 2000?

Re: suspension adjustments
Yes, you could remove the upper control arm bolts, knock out the tabs, and install the cams/eccentric bolts. Get it close? I seriously doubt it. When we do this at my shop, we use a tool offered by Snap On and others. This knock out tool makes quick work of the tabs. They can be removed with a air chisel, but think you would be glad you paid someone if you are going to do this without air tools.

Re: suspension adjustments
another thing to keep in mind is to rotate your tires about every 6000 miles

Re: suspension adjustments
Yes I appreciate your input fellas. I am well aware of how to get the mileage from my tires thank you. I have been setting the front end alignment on my trucks for years before GM went to this current arrangement. I've been getting them close enough for a long time.
My orignial question was can those eccentrics be bought separately in varying degrees. Thank you.
