1987 Chrome Bumber Bolts
Where can I find the high hump chrome bumper bolts. im putting the sport bumper on and looking for some with the stainless covers. GM is discontinued and Im gonna hit NAPA after work but is there any places around that still sell them? I would prefer not to order and ship???...

I didn't like the looks of the ones lmc so I went to salvage yard and picked the best out of all the squares they had

Yea Im not finding the OEM ones either...They dont have that full tall round head on them

I have not been able to find any correct bolts new....salvage yard while you can still find them .....the early trucks/subs/blazers with bumper strips used chrome bolts behind the strips and can be a good source for like new bumper bolts....

i have some extras in the garage you can have for price of shipping.. not "perfech" but i can pull them out and take a picture if you want.

I might have found some at a Nut and bolt place, I have to go check, I see the car and truck shop has them as well...Im getting the bumper rechromed so I need shiny...

What about ebay? are those bolts ( seems like a lot of places sell them) differnt than stock?
I need two bolts..... just took them off to paint the truck and two didn't survive. was thinking of buying some from ebay ..... but would hate to have two "different style" bolts on the bumper |

We have a hardware store in the area I discovered that actually stocks a line of chrome bolts and plugs. Got some specific items once for a car I was working on.
Might try that option. The one here used to be an Ace Hardware, now called "Do It Best". The bumper bolts may be included as it is basically a capscrew bolt. Will put that on my list to look for now that I read this next time I'm in that store. Just never gave it any thought. Mark

Finding stainless-capped bumper bolts is not a problem... but finding ones that look exactly like the stock large domed ones can be a problem.
