Is there a quick and dirty way to heal a drip rail leak? Hate to have the top repainted, as it will never match because the paint is several years old. Frankly, you would have to be pretty tall to see a repair anyway. It's always something.

Hey TF, when I bought my truck and started to get the body ready for paint I started to sand mine and they were filled with silicone or some form of sealant.
I am not sure what it was exactly but it worked for the previous owner. I used a grinder and removed it to find rusted thru areas.
My dad used a 3M product, unsure what it was, to fill and paint. I have no leaks, and they look great!!
I am going down to my folks this weekend to paint the underside of my hood, and take care of some chips, and scratches. I'll ask him what he used when I see him this weekend, and PM ya Monday!!

I third that

and add that if you use the 3M stuff, WEAR GLOVES!!!

The stuff sticks to everything and is hard to get off.
